Asset Care and Reliability Engineer

The Detmold Group is a leading manufacturer of specialised paper and board packaging products with 6 manufacturing locations and over 22 sales offices in 15 countries. We supply to a diverse range of customers including some of the world's leading brands. 

To support our continued growth, we have an opportunity for an experienced Asset Care and Reliability Engineer to join our Group Engineering and Technical Team.

Reporting to the Group Manager Engineering and Strategic Projects, this key role provides leadership to the Business and the link between Group and Local Engineering, Maintenance and Technical Teams to enable successful implementation of projects and overall improvement in compliance, asset reliability and performance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate and integrate all business improvements related to Enterprise Asset Management (EAM)
  • Provide a single engineering contact across Engineering, Operations Departments to drive and track compliance programs
  • Maintain a close working partnership with all Country Engineering and Operations Teams
  • Assist in continuous improvement in the development and setting standards in conjunction with Group Technical SME’s and local supporting engineers
  • Maintain and support programs such as: asset care and reliability program, project leadership, machine performance, annual compliance audit and the graduate program.

You will be a well organised, process driven and proactive person who enjoys a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Your ability to work with others, build strong relationships with cross functional teams and stakeholders across the business both locally and internationally, utilising professional effective communication, problem solving, critical thinking and project management skills will be key to your success.

The successful candidate will hold a relevant Engineering degree qualification and have practical experience working in engineering design, process improvement/automation and a manufacturing environment. Sound skills in CAD (Solidworks/AutoCAD), MS Project and quality management, along with prior experience within the packaging industry will be an advantage.
